Energy Future

The below images are taken from a document I sent out last week to encourage a few energy-interested parties to talk about their future influences/hopes/plans for the South East.  It's been sent to some residents in the 'shadow' of the now condemned Richborough Power Station, EDF, Vattenfall and the National Grid representatives in the South East as well as the relevant council bodies with the intention of instigating a little more discussion.
If you received one and are here to leave comments, please do so in the box below- I look forward to hearing from you and will endeavour to respond as quickly as possible.

Warriors... Come out to playayyyy...

Quick mission down to Coney Island to see the (currently abandoned) fun fair.  Possibly even stranger than Dungeness but certainly tugs the nostalgia strings (apart from "Shoot the Freak" which tugs no sensible strings at all)...

Wish I could have seen it back in the day - though I doubt it was much different.

Manhattan

Some photos from New York last week.

Was great to see the remnants of historic New York poking through the 80's power architecture, still providing plenty texture amongst the grid iron.
Next trip planned already I think...  One week's just not enough...

Site visit...

Here are some site photos from a recent trip to Lydd airport and the surrounding area.  Included are a couple of images from Dungeness which is about the weirdest place I've been outside of Scotland...

The images are just scans of 6x4 photos so not quite as sexy as the original 35mm's...

Let me know what you think, if anything...

The last two are of the concrete listening mirrors at Dungeness - a failed attempt at detecting incoming aircraft before the advent of radar...
